The UK social impact investment market now stands at £11.2 billion. Attending Impact Unlimited this week was food for thought on the strategic advice I give founders, particularly those building impact driven startups and scale ups preparing for investment.

The deeper issue is that change management and agile delivery almost always run on separate tracks: different teams, different metrics, different conversations. Delivery teams optimise for pace and output. Change teams optimise for adoption and sentiment. Neither has full visibility of the other, and the business goals meant to connect them get lost in between.

There’s still plenty businesses can do now to finish this year strong and build momentum for FY 26/27. When leaders focus on alignment, customer experience, operational readiness, and the right digital tools, Q4 can become a launchpad instead of a stress point.

Transformation is not a buzzword. It is a necessity. Yet, many leadership teams find themselves stuck, grappling with stalled progress, misalignment, and the looming question: How relevant is AI to our future? I’ve been there.
